Red Root Floaters
Red root floaters (Phyllanthus fluitans) are the showpiece of the floating world: small round leaves that blush deep red under good light, with trailing crimson roots beneath. They bring real color to the top-down view a medaka tub is all about.
Beyond the looks, they work like any floating plant, shading the water, absorbing nitrate and ammonia, and sheltering fry. Give them bright light and they color up beautifully; in lower light they stay a handsome green.
Every live fish order already ships with a free assortment of floating plants. This listing is for when you want more, or this plant specifically, on its own or added to any order.
You'll receive a healthy starter portion of at least 10 plants. Kept in decent light, floating plants multiply fast, so that starter portion fills in a surface quickly, the happier they are, the faster they spread.
