Japanese Woodblock Medaka Tee
Made of: 100% ring-spun cotton, 6.1 oz, garment-dyed and pre-shrunk
Three orange medaka swim through curling waves inside a deep blue circle, with lily pads and a pink lotus bud, in the style of a Japanese woodblock print. The word MEDAKA arches over the circle, and めだか, the same word written in hiragana, arches under it, both in the orange of the fish.
Medaka have been kept in Japan for hundreds of years, in ceramic bowls and garden pots, long before the fancy color lines existed. This design is a nod to where the hobby began.
The orange lettering and cream wave crests are made to stand out on dark fabric, so it comes in Black and Pepper.
Printed direct to garment on the Comfort Colors 1717, a 6.1 oz garment-dyed tee in 100% ring-spun cotton with a relaxed fit that is soft from the first wear. Wash cold inside out and tumble dry low, or hang dry, to keep the print crisp.
Sizes S through 4XL in Black and Pepper, one price in every size. Pick a color and the photo follows along.
Every piece is printed from my own original artwork, prepped and checked by hand so the fish comes out crisp and clean.
