Cathedral Pond Stained Glass Medaka Long Sleeve, Firefly Medaka Special Edition

Cathedral Pond on a long sleeve. A gothic church window, but the saint is a medaka.

I built this one like real leaded glass: a pointed lancet window in a bone stone frame, every piece of glass one solid color, and every lead line the same width, so it reads as a window from across the room and holds up close. A pale medaka swims through faceted blue water below a pink lotus in bloom, round lotus leaves float at the surface, bubbles rise from the fish, and a rose window at the top holds a glass firefly with a warm yellow lantern. Under the sill, "Firefly Medaka" sits in pink blackletter with "Japanese Rice Fish & More" beneath it.

It prints in full color, and on a dark shirt the leading reads like a cathedral after dark, which is the point.

Printed direct to garment on the Comfort Colors 6014, a garment-dyed long sleeve tee in 6.1 oz, 100% ring-spun cotton, with a classic fit and ribbed cuffs. Wash cold inside out and tumble dry low, or hang dry, to keep the print crisp.

The long sleeve brings the window into fall and early spring, with a classic fit, ribbed cuffs, and 6.1 oz garment-dyed cotton. It is the middle weight of the three Cathedral Pond styles.
