Lux in Tenebris Medaka Long Sleeve, Firefly Medaka Special Edition
The Lux in Tenebris design on a long sleeve, for cold nights at the pond and the whole dark season. "Lux in Tenebris" is Latin for "light in darkness," a nod to the firefly in my name. A night moth with pink eyespots sits on top of an oval Victorian cameo. Inside, my engraved medaka swims beneath a crescent moon and stars, two fireflies glow in pink halftone beside the banner, and "Firefly Medaka" crowns it all in blackletter with a thin pink outline. Gothic and a little dark academia, with no skulls needed.
The medaka is engraved from the same measured drawing as my field guide tee, so the fins sit where they do on a real rice fish.
Printed direct to garment in bone and Firefly pink on the Comfort Colors 6014, a garment-dyed long sleeve tee in 6.1 oz, 100% ring-spun cotton, with a classic fit and ribbed cuffs. It layers well under a flannel or a hoodie. Wash cold inside out and tumble dry low, or hang dry.
The long sleeve is made for autumn, from the first cool night in September through Halloween. It has a classic fit, ribbed cuffs, and 6.1 oz garment-dyed cotton that is light enough to layer.
Black, sizes S through 3XL, one price in every size. Part of my After Dark collection, made to order and shipped on its own by my print partner, separate from any fish.
Every piece is printed from my high-quality, hand-perfected vector artwork, so the fish comes out crisp and clean at any size.
