Youkihi Medaka are one of the hobby's most popular Japanese Rice Fish varieties, admired for their vibrant orange coloration and elegant, translucent appearance. Their bright color stands out beautifully in aquariums, patio tubs, and outdoor ponds, making them an excellent choice for hobbyists looking to add warmth and color to their collection.

Compared to my Red King Medaka, Youkihi display a softer, more translucent orange appearance with less metallic shine. If you're looking for maximum sparkle, be sure to check out my Red King Medaka. If you prefer a clean, classic orange medaka, Youkihi are an outstanding choice.

Every fish is individually evaluated throughout development, and only those that meet my standards for health, body shape, vibrant orange coloration, and overall quality are offered for sale. Through careful selection and screening, I continually improve the line with each generation.

Every fish I ship is hand-picked and health-checked by me in North Carolina, conditioned before it leaves, and backed by my live arrival guarantee. Healthy fish settle in faster, whether they are headed for an aquarium, a patio tub, or an outdoor pond.
