Medaka Field Guide Premium Crewneck

My medaka field guide plate on a premium crewneck. I drew it like a page from an old field guide, and the garment-dyed fleece gives it a washed, vintage look to match.

The medaka is built from real measurements, so the fins sit where they do on my fish, and the plate maps the life cycle from egg to fry, juvenile, and adult, with a sprig of hornwort for spawning. The print comes in cream ink on Blue Jean and Blue Spruce, and dark ink on Violet and Watermelon.

Printed direct to garment on the Comfort Colors 1566, a garment-dyed crewneck sweatshirt in medium-heavy 9.5 oz fleece, 80% ring-spun cotton and 20% polyester. The garment dyeing gives it a soft, broken-in feel from the first wear and a rich, washed color, and the relaxed fit drapes instead of clinging. Wash cold inside out and tumble dry low.

The 9.5 oz fleece makes this the heaviest of the four field guide styles, made for the coldest months, and the relaxed fit layers over a tee with room to spare.
