Medaka Field Guide Sweatshirt

My medaka field guide plate on a crewneck sweatshirt. I drew it like a page from an old field guide.

The medaka is built from real measurements, so the fins sit where they do on my fish, and the plate maps the life cycle from egg to fry, juvenile, and adult, with a sprig of hornwort for spawning. The print comes in cream ink on Indigo Blue and Forest Green, and dark ink on Gold.

Printed direct to garment on the Gildan Heavy Blend 18000, a medium-heavy 8 oz crewneck sweatshirt in 50/50 cotton and polyester fleece, with a classic fit, a ribbed collar, cuffs, and waistband that hold their shape, and a tear-away label so nothing scratches. Wash cold inside out and tumble dry low.

The sweatshirt carries the plate into winter, when the life cycle pauses and the fish rest until spring. The 8 oz fleece and classic fit make it an easy everyday layer.
